Item 4.1 Wayfinding Project Update Item 4.1 ,' • Xecreation otsegopairksrec.com TO: Parks and Recreation Commission FROM: Nick Jacobs, Interim Parks and Recreation Director DATE: July 14, 2022 RE: Wayfinding Project Update At the June Park Commission meeting, Commissioners reviewed the concepts that had been revised. The Commission was in agreeance the updates were sufficient. The Park Identification signs were approved for the concepts going forward. The large, medium, and small park identification signs will be based on whether the park is a community park or neighborhood park. Ms. Welter will be in attendance to present the kiosk she has designed for the Wayfinding Signage Project. She has used the same construction materials to create a uniform model to present. Ms. Welter will be looking for any feedback on the kiosk design before designs are sent to HKGi. HKGi will be taking on drawing up construction documents and specifications for cost estimates. Ms. Welter also has trail map updates to present. After this third round of review, public engagement will be needed to fulfill the grant obligations. HKGI is currently working on an online survey, residents will be able to give feedback on the Wayfinding Signage Project. The survey will go live after this July Park Commission meeting.
