No No BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION: The 2023 Capital Improvement Plan includes funding for the 2023 Street Renewal Improvement Project which includes streets within Vasseur’s Oak Grove 1st and 2nd Additions, Otsego Acres 1st and 2nd Additions, Hidden Valley, Deer Field Acres, and Otsego Industrial Park. The streets are all paved with ditches. The pavements are experiencing block, alligator, edge cracking, and thermal cracking due to its age. Typically, pavements within PCI Ratings of 50 or less are in their final stages of useful life and will need to be reconstructed in the very near future. Staff is requesting a feasibility report be completed to determine the best method of street renewal. The report is required per Statue 429 to assess benefiting property owners. The report will provide estimated project costs, identify benefiting properties and funding options, and estimate assessment amounts. The 2023 Capital Improvement Plan includes funding of $1,186,887 for the project. City staff currently estimates that the feasibility report will be completed and presented to the City Council in February 2023.
