JOINT RESOLUTION TO SUBMIT APPLICATION
FOR LEADERSHIP WITH LOCAL AND ELECTED
PERSONS (LEAP) PILOT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego, the City of Dayton, and the Town of
Frankfort have entered into preliminary discussions regarding the
possible establishment of a joint wastewater treatment facility to
serve areas of each of these jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, Leadership with Local Elected and Appointed Persons (LEAP)
is seeking proposals for a pilot project to be undertaken between
jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the description of this program purports to offer
assistance to local leaders in developing a project similar to the
joint wastewater treatment facility envisioned by local leaders in
their ongoing discussions; and
WHEREAS, it appears that said pilot project may confer certain
benefits and access to resources on the participating communities,
all to their benefit; and
WHEREAS, a response to questionnaire for application to the pilot
project has been prepared by the City of Otsego, which
questionnaire is hereto attached.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Otsego, City of Dayton,
and Town of Frankfort do hereby approve the form of the attached
questionnaire and direct their respective clerks to jointly submit
said questionnaire along with this joint resolution to the
Leadership with Local Elected and Appointed Persons (LEAP) for
consideration.
