AGENDA ITEM DETAILS RECOMMENDATION: City staff recommends approval of a Land Surveyor’s Certificate of Plat Correction. ARE YOU SEEKING APPROVAL OF A CONTRACT? IS A PUBLIC HEARING REQUIRED? No No BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION: The City Council approved a final plat for Harvest Run East 4th Addition on 8 November 2021 for Capstone Homes. An error has been identified in the measurements shown for Lots 6 and 7, Block 3 within the plat. The developer’s surveyor, Carlson McCain, Inc., has prepared a Land Surveyor’s Certificate of Plat Correction to address this issue. In accordance with Minnesota Statutes Chapter 505.174, the Certificate of Plat correction is subject to approval by the City Council and is to be recorded with Wright County. BUDGET INFORMATION FUNDING: BUDGETED: N/A N/A LAND SURVEYOR’S CERTIFICATE OF PLAT CORRECTION Pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 505.174, I, Thomas R. Balluff, a duly Licensed Land Surveyor in and for the State of Minnesota declares as follows: 1. That I prepared the plat of HARVEST RUN EAST 4TH ADDITION dated March 4, 2022 and filed on March 31, 2022 in the Office of the County Recorder, Wright County, Minnesota, as Document No. 1502817. 2. That said plat contains errors, omissions or defects described in particular as follows: a) The distance of 45.89 feet shown along the rear easement line of Lot 6, Block 3, is incorrect. b) The easement tie distance of 29.74 shown along the southeasterly line of Lot 7, Block 3, is incorrect. 3. That said plat is hereby corrected in particular as follows: a) The correct distance along the rear easement line of Lot 6, Block 3, is 49.85 feet as shown below. b) The correct easement tie distance along the southeasterly line of Lot 7, Block 3, is 39.70 feet as shown below. “EXHIBIT A” I hereby certify that this Surveyor’s Certificate of Plat Correction was prepared by me or under my direct supervision and that I am a duly Licensed Land Surveyor under the laws of the State of Minnesota.
