SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
OTSEGO CITY HALL
July 23, 2014
Call to Order.
Mayor Jessica Stockamp called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM.
Roll Call: Mayor Jessica Stockamp; Councilmembers: Vern Heidner, Jason Warehime and Doug
Schroeder. Absent: Councilmember Tom Darkenwald.
Staff: Lori Johnson, City Administrator; Daniel Licht, City Planner; Ron Wagner, City Engineer;
Ross Demant, Parks & Recreation Manager; Kurt Neidermeier; Utility Operations Supervisor
and Tami Loff, City Clerk.
1. Economic Development Strategic Planning
Adeel Ahmed, University of Minnesota Associate Extension Professor and Extension Educator,
facilitated the Economic Development Strategic Planning session. Priorities and goals identified
by the City Council include; ensuring high speed broadband infrastructure is available,
developing and implementing a marketing plan to market the City in general and to target
specific types of development, and encouraging strong residential development. The City
Administrator will bring back information on broadband options and marketing plan options will
be discussed during the economic development department budget meeting.

The meeting adjourned at 5:30 PM.
