RECOMMENDATION:
Recommend pay adjustment to Step 6 of Pay Grade 9 for Brad Sherrill for maintaining a Boiler's License
for required City inspections and for current and future maintenance electrician duties.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
This item was discussed at the July 14, 2014, City Council meeting with a recommendation to refer it to
the Public Works Subcommittee for additional information and discussion.
The additional information requested was provided to the Subcommittee on July 16. Following
discussion the Subcommittee recommended a pay increase to Step 6 of Pay Grade 9 with the
understanding that the increase is being granted due to the Boilers Licensure and related duties and
current and future maintenance electrician duties. The Subcommittee further recommended this item
be placed on the July 28 consent agenda for a
