RESOLUTION NO: 2023-26
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 2023-10 adopted by the City Council on February 13, 2023, Halanson
Anderson Associates, Inc. has prepared plans and specifications for the proposed improvement of streets
within the Vasseur's Oak Grove Estates 1" and 2"d Additions, Otsego Acres I" and 2"d Additions, Hidden Valley,
Deer Field Acres, and Otsego Industrial Park subdivisions; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications have been presented to the City Council for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OTSEGO, MINNESOTA THAT:
1. Such plans and specifications, acopy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby
approved.
2. The City Clerl< shall prepare and cause to be published on the City website and QuestCDN an
advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and
specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done,
shall state the bids will be received by Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. until 2:00 PM on May 2,
2023, at which time they will be publicly opened by the Finance Director and Hakanson Anderson
Associates, Inc., will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the City Council at 7:00 PM on May
8, 2023 in the Council Chambers (8899 Nashua Avenue NE). Any bidder whose responsibility is
questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the City Council
on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk
and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City
Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
