RESOLUTION NO: 2023-33
ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids forthe construction of Otsego 2023 Street Renewal Project,
City Project No. 23-03, the proposed improvement of streets within the Vasseur's Oak Grove Estates 15t and
2nd Additions, Otsego Acres I" and 2nd Additions, Hidden Valley, Deer Field Acres, and Otsego Industrial Park
subdivisions, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to the law, and the following bids were
received complying with the advertisement:

3. GMH Asphalt Corporation $1,055,179624
4. OMG Midwest Inc. dba Minnesota Paving & Materials $1,084111185
5. Omann Brothers Paving, Inc. $1,147,494.81
6. Knife River Corporation $1,149,747,95
WHEREAS, it appears that Northwest Asphalt, Inc. of Shakopee, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OTSEGO, MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Clerl< are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Northwest
Asphalt, Inc. of Shakopee, Minnesota, in the name of the City of Otsego for the Otsego 2023 Street
Renewal Project, City Project No. 23-03, according to the plans and specifications therefore approved
by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerl< is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the bid bond made
with their bids, except that the bid bond of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be
retained until a contract has been signed.
