RESOLUTION NO: 2023-44
ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT
FOR THE EAST -WEST WATERMAIN CONNECTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of East-West Watermain Connection
Project, City Project No. 23-04, bids were received, opened on June 7, 2023, and tabulated according to law,
and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement; and

2. S R Weidema, Incorporated $2,485,483,55
3. LaTour Construction, Inc. $21603,404.35
4. J.R. Ferche, Inc. $2,7651327.35
5. C&L Excavating, Inc $218821457.25
6. RL Larson Excavating Inc. $310421962.40
7. Geislinger & Sons $310971599.50
8. Meyer Contracting Inc. $3,318,029.87
9. Ryan Contracting Co. $313951423.68
WHEREAS, it appears that Douglas -Kerr Underground, LLC of Mora, Minnesota is the lowest responsible
bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OTSEGO, MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Clerl< are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Douglas -
Kerr Underground, LLC of Mora, Minnesota in the name of the City of Otsego for the East-West
Watermain Connection Project, City Project No. 23-04, according to the plans and specifications
therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerl< is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the bid bond
made with their bids, except that the bid bond of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder
shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
