CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP
August 21, 2006
Roll Call: Otsego City Council: Mayor Larry
Fournier, Councilmembers Dan Scharber, Mark
Thorsted, Jessica Stockamp, and Vern Heidner.
City Staff: City Administrator Michael Robertson,
City Clerk Judy Hudson, Accounting Clerk Kathy
Grover, Public Works Director Brad Belair and
Finance Director Gary Groen.
Mayor Fournier called the workshop to order at 5:00
p.m.
Review of Proposed 2007 Budget - Administrator
Robertson and Finance Director Groen reviewed the
proposed 2007 budget. Public Works Director Belair
reviewed the Public Works budget. Council had the
following directions for staff;
Place setting a meeting with the Sheriff on the
next Council agenda.
Come up with an estimated cost to purchase a
minimum tool kit for the garage.
Develop a uniform policy.
Get precise costs for converting from cell phones
to a Nextel system and confirm coverage in the
Otsego area.
Add.parking lots and tennis courts to the pavement
management cost estimates.
In the next budget meeting on Tuesday, August 29
the Council will review the mowing contract,
Building Department, Animal Control, Park &
Recreation Commission, Historic Preservation
Commission, salaries, and revenue estimates.
With no other business, Mayor Fournier adjourned
the meeting at 6:55 p.m.
