RESOLUTION NO: 2024-15
APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE 2024 ELECTIONS
WHEREAS, the regulations regarding electionsjudges are set by Minnesota Statute §2046.21, Subd. 2; and
WHEREAS, election judges for precincts in a municipality shall be appointed by the governing body of the municipality; and
WHEREAS, election judges shall be appointed at least twenty -fire (25) days before the election at which the election judge will
serve; and
WHEREAS, the Presidential Nominating Primary Elections are to be held on March 5, 2024, Primary Election to be held on
August 13, 2024, and the General Election to be held on November 5, 2024; and
WHEREAS, election judges are required to perform the election duties for these elections; and
WHEREAS, election judges are to attend the necessary training provided by Wright County and the City of Otsego in order to
hold the position of election judge.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OTSEGO, MINNESOTA:
1. The following persons are appointed as Election Judges at the discretion of the City Clerl< from the following list
should they meet the requirements for an election judge and should they choose to serve.
Otsego Precinct 1A, Precinct 2A, Precinct 3B, Precinct 46, and Precinct 5B;

2. That Election Judges be paid $15.00 per hour and that Head Election Judges paid $17.00 per hour.
3. That the City Clerl< has the authority for the appointment of additional election judges within the twenty-five (25) days
before the election if additional election judges will be required.
4. The following City staff are appointed as Election Judges at the discretion of the City Clerl< from the following list
should they meet the requirements for an election judge and should they choose to serve.
