WORK EXPERIENCE
2007-Present: Permit to Carry Instructor. Part-time instructor in state-mandated classroom/range
training for qualified citizens to obtain a Permit to Carry a Firearm.
2000-2007: Community Service Officer, City of Columbia Heights, Minnesota
Resolve complaints by citizens of ordinance violations concerning animals, parking, junk vehicles, etc.
Work with property owners to achieve solutions.
Modernized procedures and paperwork that improved the efficiency and reliability of internal
operations, including evidence handling and storage, parking permits, and other procedures.
Responsible for the secure storage of property and evidence, including cash, drugs, guns, and other
items taken into police custody.
Created new forms for in-house use and wrote form letters and informational brochures.
Assisted sworn officers at accident scenes, special events and other locations as directed. Transported
persons in police custody to jail and Detox.
