RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING HEARING ON THE IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN
VASSEUR'S OAK GROVE 3RD AND 4TH ADDITIONS AND HALLS 1ST, 2ND, AND 3RD ADDITIONS
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution 2023-74 of the City Council adopted November 13, 2023, a report has been prepared by
Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. with reference to proposed Improvement No. 24-03, the improvement of streets within
Vasseur's Oak Grove 3rd and 4th Additions and Halls 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Additions, and this report was received by the City
Council on February 26, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and
feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of
the improvement as recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for
affected parcels.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OTSEGO, MINNESOTA:
1. The City Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and the assessment of
benefiting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429
at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $1,198,472.
2. A Public Hearing shall be held on such proposed improvements on the 25t" day of March 2024 in the City Council
chambers within the Prairie Center at 7:00 P.M. and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such
hearing and improvement as required by law.
