City staff is recommending City Council approve the hiring for a Seasonal Utilities Maintenance position.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Utility Seasonal positions are budgeted for 2024, a returning seasonal Roman Lindenfelser has applied and interviewed
for the position. Responsibilities of the position includes operations and maintenance of the wastewater treatment
facilities, collection and distribution maintenance, hydrant work, valve maintenance, equipment operation, sampling with
process and regulatory labs, lift station rounds and maintenance, janitorial, documentation, meter reads and repairs.
Roman has successfully completed a background check required for this position. City Staff is recommending Roman be
hired at $19.00 per hour, with an anticipated start date in June. Seasonal positions are not eligible for benefits, besides
Earned Sick and Safe Time.
