To whom it may concern,
Please review this email as a letter of support for the great City of Otsego to continue
with the process of establishing its own fire department. As someone who has lived in
the community for 27 years and has a spouse in the fire service, the addition of a fire
department for the city of Otsego is a desperate need. The difference in taxes we would
pay to support our own station verse the taxes we pay supporting other communities
departments (hello new rogers station and fire trucks) is so minimal that the outstanding
benefit we would get of having a fully staffed station to reduce response times outweighs
the increase. We fully support the City of Otsego Fire Department as Otsego residents, a
career firefighter, and small business owner in the community.
