City Staff is recommending City Council approval of Pay Application #1 to Asphalt Surface Technologies.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Pay Application #1 includes payment for much of the micro-surfacing (bituminous material, scratch/surface course), fog
sealing (bituminous material), and striping (lines, arrows, crosswalk).
In accordance with Minnesota Statute, the City is withholding the maximum of 5% retainage of work completed, which
amounts to $13,508.31 at this time.

Motion to approve Pay Application #1 in the amount of $256,657.81 to Asphalt Surface Technologies Corporation for
work completed on the 2024 Street Maintenance Project, City Project No. 24-01.
