I’m tired of my taxes being so high, I own a townhome, meaning I don’t own any physical property, but still pay $2500 a year in taxes. I think that’s ridiculously high. I really can’t afford another tax increase. I’m 68 and would like to retire some day! I bought my first home in Otsego in 1995, and sold/bought in 2006, the first house is on an acre of land with a lot of big trees and the taxes are around $3500, I think that’s a little more realistic that $2500 for a 23 year old pile of lumber that includes nothing special.. My next topic is the overgrown weeds that line the sidewalks in/around the Target/TCO loop… some areas don’t have sidewalks, and some areas that do have sidewalks, the weeds are growing over the sidewalks. Why are there no sidewalks on the undeveloped properties? 2 3 4 5 Just a couple photos to show what I’m referring too… Why is it there is no sidewalk in front of the round barn property? I live in the townhomes on that corner, when I want to walk to ALDI or any of the businesses on that side of Parrish Ave, I have to cross Parrish at 85th, then head north to the next light, then cross back over Parrish Ave again…. To get to any of those businesses… I, like many others, like to walk for our health, and some actually walk to stores, businesses, dentist, etc, but there needs to be better walk ways in some of those areas. I think that should be a priority over the fire station. Sincerely, Annette Lincoln 8316 Parkview Ave NE Otsego MN 507-779-1181
