Recommend approval of the contract with Rivard Contracting for removal of trees from a City drainage
swale.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The City owned drainage swale near Larabee Avenue and 74th Street in Martin Farms is in need of
maintenance to allow for proper and adequate drainage. The swale will be cleared of approximately
100 trees and excavated to promote positive drainage.
The Public Works Subcommittee reviewed this item and recommends approval of the contract with
Rivard Contracting in the amount of $13,700 to remove approximately 100 trees. City staff will
complete the excavating portion of the project.
