AGENDA ITEM DETAILS RECOMMENDATION: City staff recommends the City Council approve the hiring of Seasonal Parks Maintenance positions. ARE YOU SEEKING APPROVAL OF A CONTRACT? IS A PUBLIC HEARING REQUIRED? No No BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION: To support the Parks and Recreation Department responsibilities in parks maintenance, staff recommend the hiring of Elise Ames, Ethan Mitlyng, and Jaxson Bean for the budgeted positions of Seasonal Parks Maintenance. If approved the employees would assist with seasonal mowing, trash removal, athletic fields maintenance, as well as various other park projects. Each has undergone an interview, reference inquiry, and successfully passed a background check. The Seasonal, Temporary & Part-Time Pay Plan outlines a range of $15.00 to $22.00 per hour for the Seasonal Parks Maintenance positions.
