September 9, 2014

Meeting called to order at: 6:35 p.m.
Informational Handouts reviewed- Received and reviewed.

OPEN FORUM (5 minute limit):
Law Enforcement Updates & Discussion — Reminder to public to lock car doors and shut garage doors. Motorcycle
accident on 39 on 9/8/14. Jam Fest went well.
Fire/Ambulance Update & Discussion: John and Steve updated us on how the ERV is working, and continuing to work on response
time. Wright County officers like the ERV.
Old Business:
• Safety Camp review: The camp went very well.
• Otsego Festival Sept 13. Public Safety Commission will not have a booth this year.
• 2014 Initiatives — Continue to work with Wright County and Fire/Ambulance Departments.
New Business:
• Wright County 911 System was down: The router was down for Wright County for an unknown amount of time.
Wright County is working with the 3rd party who is in charge of the router on a backup process.
• Sex Offender notification: Otsego residents are notified on Level 1 offenders only, they will receive a letter from
Wright County and there could be a public meeting.
• Change meeting in November to November 12, 2014
