CITY OF OTSEGO
COUNTY OF WRIGHT, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING A NO PARKING ZONE ON JANSEN AVENUE
NORTH OF 65TH STREET (CSAR 37).
WHEREAS, Jansen Avenue north of 65th Street (CSAH 37) within the Otsego
Industrial Park is a rural section street designed for lot access for adjacent properties
guided by the Comprehensive Plan and zoned for industrial uses; and,
WHEREAS, the on -street parking of vehicles, including semi-tractor/trailers, may
cause congestion on the public street and reduce access by emergency vehicles, which
is a risk to public health safety and welfare; and,
WHEREAS, on -street parking of vehicles, including semi-tractor/trailers, has
caused undue damage to the shoulder and pavement edge of the public street causing
additional maintenance to be undertaken by the City; and,
WHEREAS, Section 8-3-2.0 of the City Code authorizes the City Council to
designate parking zones by resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the full segment of
Jansen Avenue north of 65th Street (CSAH 37) and terminating in a temporary cul-de-
sac within the City of Otsego shall be designated as a no parking zone and the Streets
Department is hereby directed to post appropriate signage and stripe parking stalls as
determined by the City Engineer.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Otsego this 27th day of October,
2014.
