CITY OF OTSEGO
COUNTY OF WRIGHT, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING NOTICE TO ACQUIRE CERTAIN TAX FORFEIT
PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF OTSEGO.
WHEREAS, The City has received notice dated 16 February 2011 from the
Wright County Auditor of tax forfeited land located within the City of Otsego; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego has 60 days from the date of said notice to
exercise first option to acquire the tax forfeited parcel(s); and,
WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the tax forfeited parcels and made
recommendation as to the City acquiring these properties in a memorandum dated 4
March 2011 prepared by the City Planner, The Planning Company LLC; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council considered the acquisition of the tax forfeit
properties and the recommendation of City staff at their meeting on 14 March 2011.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the acquisition of these parcels by the
City is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and waives the need for review by the
Planning Commission; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Otsego
that the following tax forfeit parcels shall be acquired by the City for public purposes
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 281.01, Subd. 1a(h):
