CITY OF OTSEGO
COUNTY OF WRIGHT, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A FLOOD RELIEF POLICY.
WHEREAS, areas of Otsego are subject to seasonal flooding, which includes but
is not limited to areas designated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency
(FEMA) as Flood Zones; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it necessary to establish a policy to outline
those measures the City of Otsego will take to prevent and/or relieve flood to protect life
and property; and,
WHEREAS, City staff has drafted a Flood Relief Policy as outlined in the
memorandum dated 9 March 2011 by the City Planner, The Planning Company LLC,
incorporated herein by reference; and,
WHEREAS, the Administrative Subcommittee of the City Council considered the
draft policy at its meeting on 9 March 2011 and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OTSEGO THAT the Flood Relief Policy is hereby adopted in the form attached
hereto.
