CITY OF OTSEGO
COUNTY OF WRIGHT, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE REPORT OF THE HERITAGE PRESERVATION
COMMISSION REGARDING THE STeP PROGRAM AND ADOPTION OF A MISSION
STATEMENT, COLLECTIONS POLICIES AND WORK PROGRAM THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the Heritage Preservation Commission applied for and received
Legacy Grant funding from the State of Minnesota to undertake Standards and
Excellence Program (StEP) project; and,
WHEREAS, the StEP project entailed meetings of the Heritage Preservation
Commission to develop goals, policies and programs for historic preservation efforts
within the community; and,
WHEREAS, the Heritage Preservation Commission developed a Mission
Statement, collections policies and work program as a product of the StEP project
summarized in a final report dated May 31, 2011, and,
WHEREAS, the Final Report regarding the StEP project was approved by the
Historic Preservation Commission at their meeting on 11 June 2011 and submitted to
the City Council for consideration.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Otsego
that the Final Report of the Heritage Preservation Commission regarding the StEP
project is accepted and Mission Statement, collections policies and work program
thereof are hereby approved and adopted.
