BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Parks & Recreation Commissioner Brian Fahey submitted his resignation from the commission due to
change in his work schedule. I have attached the current list of Advisory Commission appointments;
Brian's seat was to expire February 28, 2015. Parks and Recreation Manager Ross Demant is
recommending advertising the open seat for people interested in being appointed. The opportunity to
apply for appointment for the remainder of the vacant term would be extended to the two current
alternate commissioners as well as posted on the City's website.

Motion to accept Brian Fahey's resignation from the Parks & Recreation Commission and thank him for
his service to the city and direct City staff to solicit applications for appointment to the open seat
