BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
At the October 27, 2014 Otsego City Council Meeting, the council approved the hiring of Mark Sauter,
Thomas Alberico and Dave Dehne as Seasonal On -Call Maintenance Workers. Three days after that
meeting, staff was contacted by Dave Dehne and notified that he had accepted a full time job offer and
was no longer able to perform snow removal operations for the City of Otsego. Staff had additional
applicants that were qualified for the position and interviews were scheduled. Dave Bebus has snow
removal experience and has passed his driver's license and background check along with the pre-
employment drug testing. Staff is looking for council approval to move forward with hiring him as an
On -Call Maintenance Worker to assist with snow removal operations in the 2014-15 winter season.
