CITY OF OTSEGO
WRIGHT COUNTY, MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION NO. 98- 24
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego has the authority and responsibility under Minnesota
Statutes to prepare and adopt comprehensive plans for the purpose of guiding and
directing growth and development of the community; and
WHEREAS, new planning, development, and growth management issues have
emerged in the community since the adoption of the 1991 Otsego Comprehensive Plan,
as amended, and these issues are in need of resolution; and
WHEREAS, on 5 September 1996, the City Council authorized the preparation of
an Otsego Comprehensive Plan Update; and
WHEREAS, the City's consultants, staff and officials have formulated the following
documents:
1. Planning Tactics Report - January 1997
2. Inventory Report - January 1997
3. Policy Plan - September 1998
4. Development Framework - September 1998
and
WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing on the Otsego Comprehensive Plan
Update was held by the Planning Commission on 2 September 1998 and public comment
received and considered accordingly; and
WHEREAS, the Otsego Planning Commission, following formal public hearing, has
recommended approval of the Otsego Comprehensive Plan Update of the City Council.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Otsego
The Otsego Comprehensive Plan Update comprised of the aforementioned
documents, as amended by the Planning Commission, is approved and
adopted.

following:
a. City of Albertville
b. City of Dayton
C. City of Elk River
d. City of St. Michael
e. Wright County Planning and Zoning
f. Wright County Public Works
g. St. Michael/Albertville School District
h. Elk River School District
