A resolution accepting bids and awarding a contract, City Project 98.04, Trunk Sanitary
Sewer and Watermain.
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Trunk
Sanitary Sewer Collection System and Potable Water System, a total of 13 bids were
received and tabulated,
AND WHEREAS, the firm of Barbarossa and Sons, Inc., P.O. Box 367, Osseo,
Minnesota 55369 is the lowest bidder with a bid in the amount of $2,173,560.25.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
OTSEGO, MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter in a contract
with Barbarossa and Sons, Inc. in the name of the City of Otsego for the
construction of the Trunk Sanitary Sewer and Watermain Improvement, City
Project 98.04, according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by
the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders
the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful
bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been
signed.
