Approve the advisory commission appointments as listed in the attached resolution and advertise and
accept applications for Park and Recreation Commissioner.

BACKGROU N DIJ USTI FICATION;
On January 24 and 29 the Council interviewed applicants for advisory commissions. The attached
resolution when adopted appoints commissioners to the Police Commission, Heritage Preservation
Commission, and Planning Commission. Additional applications for the Parks and Recreation
Commissions we be solicited and appointments to that commission will be made at a future Council
meeting.

RESOLUTION NO.: 2013 - 07
CITY OF OTSEGO
COUNTY OF WRIGHT, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING COMMISSIONERS TO ADVISORY COMMISSIONS.
WHEREAS, the City has established advisory commissions including the
Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Heritage Preservation
Commission and Police Commission; and,
WHEREAS, individuals are appointed to serve on these advisory commissions in
accordance with the City Code and bylaws of each body and at the discretion of the City
Council; and,
WHEREAS, the terms of several of the individuals appointed to these advisory
commissions will expire on February 28, 2013; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council must make appointments to the new terms of these
advisory commission positions.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Otsego
that the following appointments are hereby made to the City's advisory commissions:
Planning Commission
Pam Black for the term expiring February 28, 2017.
Richard Nichols for the term expiring February 28, 2017.
Brian Gerten for the term expiring February 28, 2014.
Heather Eidem for the alternate term expiring February 28, 2015.
Heritage Preservation Commission
■ Toni Seroshek for the term expiring February 28, 2017.
■ Gail Anderson for the term expiring February 28, 2017.
Police Commission
• Dana VanDenBerg for the term expiring February 28, 2017.
■ Jim Breitbach for the term expiring February 28, 2017.
• Benjamin DeBoer for the term expiring February 28, 2014.
■ Paul Fields for the alternate term expiring February 28, 2017.
