BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Needham Avenue has had long term drainage issues. City Council authorized the preparation of a
Feasibility Study to determine what needs to be completed to remedy the issues, determine a cost
estimate and allocate costs. A public hearing to present the study to the residents and possibly continue
toward a project with the potential for assessments in accordance with MN State Statue 444 is
requested to be set for March lith at 7:00 pm at Prairie Center -- Council Chambers, 8899 Nashua
Avenue.

RESOLUTION NO. 2013-10
RESOLUTION CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution receiving a feasibility report the council
adopted December 10th, 2012, and an informational meeting held January 28, 2013 in
reference to the storm water improvement of Needham Avenue -- South of 85th Street
NE;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF OTSEGO,
MINNESOTA:
1. The council will consider the malting of such improvement in accordance
with the report and the assessment of benefiting property for all or a portion of the cost
of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 444 with the estimated total
cost of the improvement being $44,144.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed storm water improvement
on the 11th day of March, 2013 in the council chambers located at Prairie Center, 8899
Nashua Avenue at 7:00 p.m. and the clerk shall give mailed and published notice of
such hearing and improvement as required by law.
