PUBLIC SAFETY UPDATE:
Elk River Fire Dept — Working towards goal of 10 new recruits for 2015. Reviewed call summary. Encourage
homeowners and renters to buy homeowners insurance or rental insurance. John showed the commission the
new Elk River Fire Department Key Box Program safety key boxes (Knox Boxes) that will be used by businesses
or can be purchased by residents. www.ElkRiverMN.gov/Fire
Albertville Fire Dept — The dept has approved a full time fire chief position, and will begin the process of hiring.

Rogers Fire Dept — None
Wright Co Police — Quiet police activity. Reminder that no parking on city streets between 2 a.m. - 6 a.m. And
no parking on the streets with 2 inches of snow until plowed on both sides.
OLD BUSINESS: The Public Safety Commission advised the City Council members in attendance that Meghan
Anderson has been absent for 4 consecutive meetings.
NEW BUSINESS:
The open position on the commission has been posted on the city website.
