1. Mayer Larry Fournier will call meeting to order,
Mayor Fournier called the Workshop to order at 6 PM.
Roll Call: Mayor Fournier, Councilmembers, Mark Berning, Vern Heidner and Virginia
Wendel.
Absent: Councilmember Suzanne Ackerman
Staff: Larry Koshak, City Engineer; Elaine Beatty, City Clerk/Zoning Administrator; Judy
Hudson, Deputy Clerk.
2. Update y Mayor Fournier en progress with meeting with residents to determine
sewer plant site.
Mayor Fournier reported to the Council his contacts with the following landowners.
Wayne Lahn: He is not interested in having a treatment plant on his property. He would
like to develop his land similar to Fox Hollow.
Nellie Bodendrier: Her family was also present. They were not receptive to the City
placing a treatment facility on her property and declined in selling any property to the City.
Tom Koerwitz: Last fall he had indicated interest in selling but after further consideration,
he also decided not to sell any property.
Mayor Fournier suggested to continue discussions with landowners in this area. The City
may have to decide an exact location.
There was Council and staff discussion regarding land issues and the concerns the
landowners have.
CM Heidner questioned if the Council is willing to proceed forward with land acquisition
with the possibility that this could be via condemnation. He is also concerned with the
location before the trunk study is completed.
Mr. Koshak replied that it would be helpful if the location was selected prior to the trunk
study but if not, the study can be adjusted.
The Council set February 21, 1997, 5 PM for the next Sewer Workshop Meeting.
3. Any other information regarding sewer and water
Mr. Koshak informed the Council he has not received any information from Elk River.

CM Heidner motioned to adjourn. Seconded by CM Berning.
All in favor. Motion carried.
Workshop adjourned at 6:16 PM.
