10-29-01 PHI TEti1 3,G, CITY OF OTSEGO PUBLIC HEARING PARSON'S AVENUE VACATION OCTOBER 29, 2001 6:30 PM OTSEGO CITY HALL 1. Mayor Fournier will call the meeting to order. Mayor Fournier called the meeting to order at 6:34 PM. Roll Call: Mayor Larry Fournier; Councilmembers: Vern Heidner, Virginia Wendel, Suzanne Ackerman and Jerry Struthers. Staff. Mike Robertson, City Administrator; Judy Hudson, City Clerk; Andrew MacArthur, City Attorney and Ron Wagner, City Engineer. 2. Mayor Fournier open the Public Hearin Mayor Fournier opened the Public Hearing at 6:35 PM. Judy Hudson, City Clerk, attested that the legal publication, mailings, and posting were completed. She also stated that she did not receive any letters regarding this proposed vacation. 3. Andrew MacArthur City Attorney, Mr. MacArthur explained the procedure and process. He did talk to John Jackels, bordering property owner, who relayed to him that they did not intend to attend the Public Hearing. 4. Ron Wagner, City Engineer. Mr. Wagner reviewed the Parson Avenue Vacation. 5. Open for Public Comment There were no public attendees. 6. Mayor Fournier closed the Public Hearing at 6:49 PM. y. .-env City Council action C'Nl Heidner motioned to approve Resolution No. 2001-32 approving vacation of a portion of Parson avenue. Any other City business Ron Wagner discussed the suggested West Sewer Treatment Plant Site on the Wilfred Duerr property. Since he has now received the topography, he is not recommending this site because it is a wetland. The Council directed him and Mike Robertson to proceed with the delineation of this wetland and to review other sites. Mayor Fournier and CM Heidner, sub -committee, will contact other landowners this week. Mayor Fournier has been getting feedback from residents for 24-hour police coverage. Mike Robertson will discuss with the Sheriff regarding rotating shifts. Mike Robertson updated the Council on security systems for the Water and Sewer Works Buildings. 11. Adjourn.
