CITY OF OTSEGO
COUNTY OF WRIGHT, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING RATES FOR USE OF CITY
WATER AND SEWER SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego has determined that to pay for
the cost of construction, repair, enlargement, improvement,
maintenance, operation, and use of the City water system and
sewer system; the cost of State and Federal regulations,
principal and interest to become due on obligations issued
or to be issued therefore; it is necessary to impose the
following just and equitable charges for the use and
availability of said water and sewer systems pursuant to
Minnesota Statutes, Section 444.075, Subdivision 3. The
following use charges are found to be just and equitable to
the cost of furnishing the City water and sewer system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
OTSEGO, MINNESOTA:
A. Rate Schedule. From and after hookup of any premises
to the City water and sewer system, the owner or owners
shall pay for water and sewer used each month at the
following rates.
1. For the first 2,000 gallons or less of water
usage, the charge shall be $5.00 per month.;
2. For consumption of water in excess of 2,000
gallons per month, the charge shall be $1.50 per thousand
gallons.
3. For the first 2,000 gallons or less of sewer
usage, the charge shall be $9.00 a month.
4. For use of City sewer in excess of 2,000 gallons
per month, the charge shall be $4.50 per thousand gallons.
5. Where there is more than one dwelling, business,
or industry served through one water meter, the minimum
charge shall apply to each dwelling, business, or industry
unit served through that water meter.
