RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF
PLANS- SANITARY SEWER, WATERMAIN, STORM SEWER AND
STREET IMPROVEMENTS TO PORTIONS OF 88" STREET AND
QUADAY AVENUE
WHEREAS, a resolution of the Otsego City Council adopted the 28tiday of
August , 2000, fixed a date for a council hearing on proposed improvements to
portions of 88' Street and Quaday Avenue from Highway 42 eastward along 88h
Street and Quaday, to be constructed within existing right of way along said 88*
Street and Quaday Avenue . At the time of the hearing four options (and proposed .
assessments for the same) were presented for Council and public consideration as
set forth on the Notice of Hearing attached hereto as Exhibit A.
AND WHEREAS, public input was received and discussion was had of an
additional option (Option 3.5) which was a modification of Options 3 and 4
contained within the original feasibility report.
AND WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks published notice of the
hearing was given, and the hearing was held thereon on the 22"d day of August,
2000, at which all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunitty to be
heard thereon,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF OTSEGO, MINNESOTA:
1. Such improvement is necessarry, cost effective , and feasible as detailed in the
feasibility report and addendum.
2. Such improvement, specifically Option 3.5 which calls for construction of
street, sanitary sewer, watermain and storm sewer improvements from Highway
42 eastward to Station 9+40 and ditching only across the north line of Oudot B
Lot 1, and the south lot line of Lot 1, Block 1, MRD Christ Lutheran is hereby
ordered. The project includes a drainage structure under Highway 42. The project
is set forth in addendum to the Feasibility Study.
3. Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. is hereby designated as the engineer for
this improvement. The engineer shall prepare plans and specifications for the
making of such improvement.
4. Minnesota State Aid (MSA) funds available to the City, if any, shall be utilized
on this project. The City Engineer and City Administrator shall take all steps
necessarry to secure use of MSA funds for this project, if available.
ADOPTED this 4ddaay of August, 2000 by the Otsego City Council.
