OTSEGO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
OTSEGO CITY HALL
JANUARY 4, 2010

1. Chair Black will call the meeting to order.
Chair Black called the meeting to order at 7 PM.
Roll Call: Chair Pam Black; Commissioners: Dave Thompson, Tammie Fallon,
Aaron Stritesky, John Thelen and Brian Gerten. Commissioner Jim Kolles arrived
at 7:04 PM. Excused absences: Richard Nichols. City Council: CM Vern Heidner.
Staff: Dan Licht, City Planner; Mike Robertson, City Administrator and Tami Loff,
City Clerk.
2. Consider the following minutes.
2.1. November 2, 2009 Planning Commission Meeting.
Commissioner Thompson motioned to approve as written. Seconded by
Commissioner Stritesky. All in favor. Motion carried.
3. Planning Items:
PUBLIC HEARING:
3.1. Duke Realty:
A Interim Use Permit (IUB to allow farming within an I-2
District.
City Planner Licht presented the Planner's Report.
Applicant David Bade, Duke Realty, 1600 Utica Ave St. Louis Park, present for
questions if needed.
City Clerk Tami Loff attested that proper noticing, posting and publishing was
completed.
Chair Black opened the Public Hearing at 7:03 PM.
Commissioner Fallon said it looks like the topsoil on this property has been
removed, will they be able to farm. Mr. Bade said yes it has been removed but
he is putting that in the farmer's hands.
Hearing no public comments Chair Black closed the Public Hearing at 7:05 PM.
Commissioner Stritesky motioned to approve an Interim Use Permit
allowing farming activities within an I-2 District subject to the five
conditions listed in the Planner's report. Seconded by Commissioner
Thompson. All in favor. Motion carried.
4. Any other Planning Commission Business.
4.1. Update on Citv Council actions by Councilmember Heidner.
CM Heidner updated the Commission.
4.2. Update on future Planning Commission Agenda Items by
Ta m i Loff.
The next meeting is February 1, 2010.
5. Adjournment by 10 PM.
Commissioner Fallon motioned to adjourn. Seconded by Commissioner
Gerten. All in favor. Motion carried. Adjourned at 7:10 PM
