BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
To facilitate the development of Great River Centre 3rd Addition's Outlot A public improvements must be
constructed. These improvements include a typical commercial street with bituminous trail and concrete
sidewalk, watermain and services, sanitary main and services and storm sewer. Currently no street exists
to service this or adjacent lots. Water and sanitary sewer has been stubbed towards the property south of
85th Street.
City staff has been in communication with the potential property owner/developer. They have requested
that the City consider constructing the public street and utilities and assess the adjacent benefiting
DroDerty owners.

RESOLUTION NO. 2015 - 49
RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR EXTENSION OF A STREET TO APPROXIMATELY
1,100 FEET SOUTH IN THE GREAT RIVER CENTRE DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, it is proposed to construct public improvements including street,
bituminous trail, concrete sidewalk, watermain, sanitary main, and storm sewer from
85th Street south 1,100 ft and
WHEREAS, it is proposed to assess the benefiting properties for all or a portion
of the cost of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF OTSEGO,
MINNESOTA;
That the proposed improvement be referred to Hakanson Anderson for study and
that they are instructed to report to the council with all convenient speed advising the
council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as
to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other
improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.
