PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
January 15, 1997

1 Chair Swenson will call the Planning Commission Meeting to order:
Chair Swenson called the Planning Commission Meeting to order at 8:00 PM.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Chair; Carl Swenson, Commissioners; Eugene Goenner, Arleen Nagel, Richard
Nichols, Jim Kolles. Excused absence: Bruce Rask, Ing Roskaft.
Staff: Elaine Beatty, City Clerk/Zoning Administrator
Council Representative; Vern Heidner
Chair Swenson welcomed Vern Heidner, the new Council Liaison.
2 Consideration of the Planning Commission Minutes of:
a. January 2, 1997
Eugene Goenner motioned to approve Planning Commission Minutes of January 2,
1997, as written. Richard Nichols seconded. All in favor. Motion carried
unanimously.
Eugene Goenner motioned to continue Hearing to Planning Commission Meeting of
February 19, 1997. Arleen Nagel seconded. All in favor. Motion carried
unanimously.
4. Any other Planning Commission Business:
Elaine Beatty handed out the Tactics Study report and noted that the Planner will review
with City Council at a meeting on January 21, 1997 at 7:30 PM. The Planning
Commission is invited to attend.
Eugene Goenner questioned why the Barthel's request is being re -heard.
Vern Heidner - with the Planning Commission turning it down unanimously the City
Council would like the rationale for their decision. City Council has requested that it be
re -heard.

Eugene Goenner asked why the Beaudry/Kincanon (Heritage Hills) Preliminary Plat was
asked to be continued.
Elaine Beatty explained that due to the drainage issues for Halls Watershed area, the 85th
Street Project Feasibility Study and Preliminary Plat changes not being ready.

Arleen Nagel motioned to adjourn. Richard Nichols seconded. All in favor. Motion
carried unanimously.
