PLANNING COMMISSION
MEETING
APRIL 2, 2001

1. chair Swenson will call the meeting to order.
chair Swenson called the meeting to order at 8 PM.
Roll Call: Chair Carl Swenson; Commissioners: Steve
Schuck, Richard Nichols, Jim Kolles, Christian Mbanefo,
Patrick Moonen. Absent: Ken Fry.
Council Representative: vern Heidner.
staff: Judy Hudson, city Clerk/zoning Administrator; Dan
Licht, City Planner.
chair Swenson noted on page 3, under Item b. the motion
should read CM Nichols motioned to change his motion rather
than amend.
CM Nichols motioned to accept the minutes as amended.
Seconded by CM Schuck. All in favor. Motion carried.
Judy Hudson attested that the proper noticing and publishing
was completed.
Dan Licht presented the Planner's Report.
The applicants had no comments.
Chair Swenson explained the procedure of the Public Hearing
and opened the Public Hearing at 8:06 PM.
There was no public comment.
chair Swenson brought discussion back to Planning
Commission. There were no Planning commission comments.
since there was no public comment chair Swenson closed the
Public Hearing at 8:07 PM.
commissioner Nichols motioned to recommend a zoning Map
amendment rezoning the subject site from A-1 to A-2
District based upon a finding that the action is
consistent with the comprehensive Plan. seconded by
commission Schuck. All in favor. Motion carried.
Judy Hudson stated this request will be on April 9, 2001
city council Agenda.

4. Any other Planning Commission Business.
A. update on Council actions by CM Heidner.
CM Heidner informed the Planning Commission that the Council
approved Pheasant Ridge, 5th Addition, as recommended by the
Planning Commission. The motion was amended to table in
order to give time for the developer and staff to work
together on the road widths and setback issues as requested
by the developer, Rick Packer.
CM Heidner also went over the recently passed moratorium on
residential development in the sewer district.
Dan Licht reminded the Planning commission of the joint
workshop with the Parks commission on April 16th at 7:30 PM.
Dan will mail out packets to everyone.
5. Adjournment by 10 Pm.
commissioner Mbanefo motioned to adjourn: Seconded by
commissioner Schuck. All in favor. Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 8:27 PM.
