1. Chair Swenson will call the meeting to order.
Chair Swenson called the meeting to order at 8 PM.
Roll Call: Carl Swenson, Patrick Moonen, Richard Nichols, Steve Schuck, Dave
Thompson, Ken Fry. Absent: Jim Kolles, Christian Mbanefo.
Council Representative: Virginia Wendel.
Staff. Michael Robertson, City Administrator; Judy Hudson, City Clerk/Zoning
Administrator; Dan Licht, City Planner.
2. Public Hearing for the applicant.
A. Trudell Trailers.
Chair Swenson opened the Public Hearing at 8:01 PM.
Judy Hudson verified that the proper noticing and publishing was done.
City Planner, Dan Licht, presented the Planner's Report.
Grady Kinghorn, applicant. Mr. Kinghorn presented a brief background of Trudell
Trailers.
Chair Swenson opened the Hearing for Public Comment.
There was no public comment.
Commissioner Schuck asked if there is a required inventory from manufacturer. Mr.
Grady responded that based on sales level, there could be 100 to 300 trailers at one time. .
Mike Robertson asked if Mr. Grady`s client is aware that the gravel lot is temporary and a
bond will be needed to guarantee future paving. Mr. Grady replied that he is aware.
Commissioner Nichols asked what is the square footage needed to accommodate 200
trailers on the lot at one time. Mr. Grady said about 1 to 2 acres. Commissioner Nichols
asked Dan Licht that in his staff report he suggested we change the Ordinance regarding
outside storage for the I-1 and I-2 District.. Dan replied he would outline several options
and recommended the Planning Commission considering amending the Ordinance prior to
taking action on this Conditional Use Permit Application.
Since there was no further Public Comment, Chair Swenson closed the Public Hearing.
Commissioner Nichols motioned to table this applicant for a Conditional Use Permit
until the July 2, 2001 Planning Commission Meeting. All in favor. Motion carried.
Commissioner Nichols motioned to recommend approval of the Site Plan for Trudell
Trailers. Seconded by Commissioner Fry. All in favor. Motion carried.
3. Continuation of discussion on Commercial Riding Stables.
Dan Licht went over his memo and the attached matrix with the Planning Commission.
The Planning Commission agreed they will consider allowing more accessory building on
lots greater than 10 acres.

4. Any other Planning Commission Business
Mike Robertson informed the Planning Commission that the June 18, 2001 Planning
Commission Meeting will be a workshop with the City Attorney and all the Commissions
are limited and that no Planning Items will be considered. Prior to this meeting, a
workshop with the Planning Commission and Parks Commission will be held at 7 PM to
discuss the proposed Park and Trail Plan.
5. Adjournment by 10 PM
Commissioner Nichols stated he will not be able to attend the next Planning Commission
Meeting.
Steve Schuck motioned to adjourn. Seconded by Fry. All in favor. Motion carried.
