07-15-02 PCCITY OF OTSEGO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING JULY 15, 2002 OTSEGO CITY HALL 8:00 PM 1. Chair Nichols will call the meeting to order. Chair Nichols called the meeting to order at 8 PM. Roll Call: Chair Richard Nichols; Commission Members: Jim Kolles, Ken Fry, Patrick Moonen, Steve Schuck, Carl Swenson and David Thompson. Absence: Christian Mbanefo Staff: Judy Hudson, City Clerk/Zoning Administrator and Dan Licht, City Planner. Council: Mayor Larry Fournier, Councilmembers Vern Heidner and Jerry Struthers. 2. Consider the following minutes: 2.1. July 1, 2002 Planning Commission Minutes Commissioner Schuck motioned to approve the minutes. Seconded by Commissioner Swenson. All in favor. Motion carried. 3. PlanningItems: 3.1. John and Barb DeMars Subdivision. A. Preliminary and Final Plat. Chair Nichols opened the Public Hearing at 8:01 PM. Dan Licht presented the Planner's Report. Judy Hudson attested all publishing and noticing was done. Chair Nichols opened the Hearing for Public Comment. Joyce Michaelson, representing the Hidden Creek Development asked if the Begin property could have six buildable lots total. Mr. Licht replied yes. Barb DeMars, applicant, questioned the Street access fee as they were previously quoted $6,500. Dan Licht stated an accurate amount would be calculated for the City Council Meeting. Hearing no further Public Comment Chair Nichols closed the Public Hearing. Commissioner Schuck motioned to recommend to approve the rezoning from A-1 to A-2 Agriculture Long Range Urban Service Area District. Seconded by Commissioner Thompson. Allin favor. Motion carried. Commissioner Schuck motioned to recommend approving the Preliminary/Final Plat to create one 10.79 -acre single-family lot from a 69.9 -acre parcel and transfer of .79 -acre parcel from the City of Otsego. Update on Council actions by CM Heidner. CM Heidner updated the Commission on recent Council action such as Market West in the Waterfront and the Vintage Homes Golf Course. 5. Adjournment by 10 PM.
