Staff recommends the hiring of Tony Block for the vacant Maintenance II position.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Staff was able to re -interview one of the original applicants for the vacant Maintenance II position after our
last applicant declined the position to pursue a different career option. Staff interviewed Tony Block on
October 28th and he expressed his willingness and excitement to be considered for the position. He has
successfully passed the required background check and drug testing. The Maintenance II position is a
pay grade 9 and we are recommending that he be placed at a step 3 upon hire.
He would be available to work immediately after Council has made their decision.
