City Staff recommends the hiring of Nicholas Beste for the Utilities Systems Operator Position.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Applications for the vacant utilities operator position were reviewed on November 12th with an
interview conducted on the 13th. Utility staff was involved in the interview process and recommended
Nicholas Beste for the position. Nicholas has Water Environment Technology training, operations
experience and maintains a D wastewater license and class D water license. Background and screening
was completed and successful. Compensation is recommended at Pay Grade 7 Step 2.
