A. Recommend that Bike Rodeo take place again in 199$.7,
B. Summer Recreation Program Updates:
T -ball : Begins 6/17. Will run Mon. - Thur. evenings 5- 8 pm.
- notifying participants of parking, and various other developmental project status (seeding, sod at playground, etc. )
- "Ride the Rec." B.O.A.T. (Bussed Organized Activity Time) Cooperative effort w/ CE. Registration at this time is slow.
Begins July 10th.
- Gun Safety: Planning committee met w/ Pam Black
C. Volunteer Appreciation Day:
DARE trailer will be there and staffed by ER PD.
- Recommends consideration of the following Market Plan:
1)Special Flyer W/ Star News targeted to 2500 Otsego homes. Cost $87.50
2) 4 signs placed strategically. Merland/ Darlene has the contact Cost $120
3) ADS in Star News, Crow River News and The Drummer: Approx. cost $ $300. Star news cost for a 3x5 = $111
4) Posters / Flyers: Done by Rec. Office. Will only need help with posting and distribution plan.
5) Buttons - Could sell Cost is Approx. 20 cents per button. 200 buttons would cost $40
Activities: Rec. Bd., CE and ECFE\ sharing a booth and will be facilitating a variety of youth / family fun activities from that
site. Booth staffed from noon - 3, with activities begining at 1:00
VB and Horseshoe toumys are also possible - Will the sites be ready? Need contact help for promotion of Horsehoe
tourny.
A Penny scramble was also suggested. Possible for a Bank to sponsor.
Also suggested soliciting donations w/ collection in a Milk Can.
