BACKGROUNDMUSTIFICATION:
The 2015 Capital Improvement Plan included a Utility project to increase pumping capacity at Lift
Station #3 (Project # UTIL-12-075). The Lift Station serves the growing population in the West Sanitary
District conveying all its wastewater to the West Wastewater Treatment Facility.
The Sewer Fund allocated $85,000 dollars in 2015 to increase Lift Station #3 capacity. Equipment start-
up was complete in November. The contractor has met documentation turnover requirements including
Electrical schematics, PLC logic and Equipment Manuals.
Electrical Engineer Stuart Stephens of Barr Engineering has reviewed the project documents and start up
recommending final payment. The request of $24,500.00 completes the final project price of
$ 74,177.00.
City staff recommends payment.
