Staff recommends the City Council accept a donation from Hilde family in the amount of $500.00 to be
used for the Tiny Tot program.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Mrs. Hilde approached staff during the Tiny Tot program in January and expressed how much she
appreciated the program and had asked if she could make a donation. She went on to say how much
her child liked to different arts and crafts each week and how everyone enjoyed Miss Amy and her only
request with this donation was that it go towards the Tiny Tot program. This is the second year that the
Hilde family has made a donation to the Parks and Recreation Department.

RESOLUTION NO.2016-11
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION HILDE FAMILY TO THE
OTSEGO PARKS AND RECREAITON DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Hilde family has made a donation of $500 to the Otsego Parks
and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, the donation to the Otsego Parks and Recreation Department is for
the purpose supplementing program and equipment costs; and,
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations or
real or personal property be accepted only with adoption of a resolution of the
governing body; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego sincerely thanks the Hilde Family for their
generous donation and for its support of the community; and,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Otsego, Wright County, Minnesota that the donation by the before mentioned
businesses is hereby accepted.
ADOPTED this 8th day of February 2016 by the Otsego City Council.
