SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
PRAIRIE CENTER
FEBRUARY 8, 2016

Call to Order.
Mayor Jessica Stockamp called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.
Roll Call: Mayor Jessica Stockamp; Councilmembers: Vern Heidner, Doug Schroeder and Jason
Warehime. Absent: Councilmember Tom Darkenwald. Staff: Lori Johnson, City Administrator,
Andy MacArthur, City Attorney and Tami Loff, City Clerk.
1. 25t" Year Anniversary Committee Pay Discussion.
CM Warehime said being there was confusion on if this was a volunteer committee or not he is
recommending the city purchase Target gift cards for the committee members as a thank you.
Mayor Stockamp had provided a list of committee members, meetings and event attendance.
CM Warehime said in the future we need to be clear on what is a volunteer or non -volunteer
committee.
CM Warehime motioned to purchase eleven $50.00 Target gift cards for the 25tn
Year Anniversary Committee to be paid out of Council Contingency. Seconded by
Mayor Stockamp. All in favor. Motion carried.
2. Advisory Commission Interviews.
The City Council interviewed Alan Offerman for Planning Commission.
CM Warehime motioned to appoint Alan Offerman to the open alternate seat on the
Planning Commission. Seconded by CM Schroeder. Motion carried 4-0.
3. Adjourn.
Motion by CM Warehime to adjourn. Seconded by CM Schroeder. Motion carried 4-0.
