City Staff recommends hire of Robert Small to fill the vacant Utilities Operator Position.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Applications for the vacant Utilities Operator position were reviewed in December with two interviews
conducted in January. Interviews included Utility Operations Staff providing recommendation of hire for
Robert Small. Robert has operations and maintenance experience, maintaining a class D wastewater
and class B water license. Background and screening tests were successfully completed. Compensation
is recommended at Pay Grade 6 Step 1.
