MEETING MINUTES
MAY 14, 2003 - 7:00 PM
1. Call to order. The meeting was called to order at 7:00
p.m. by Chair Bartheld.
Roll Call:
Park & Recreation Commission: Jeff Bartheld, Mark Thorsted,
Pauline Nelson, Peter Torresani, and Rose Cassady. Terry
Long arrived at 7:05 p.m.
Absent: Jessica Stockamp and Jim Gaikowski.
Councilmembers: CM Dan Scharber.
Staff: City Administrator Mike Robertson
Approval of Agenda - Chair Bartheld added Mike Roden, Soccer
Association. Commissioner Torresani, seconded by
Commissioner Cassady, moved to approve the agenda as
amended. Carried 5-0.
Approval of March 12 2003 Minutes - Commissioner Torresani,
seconded by Commissioner Thorsted, moved to approve the
March 12, 2003 minutes. Carried 6-0.
Soccer Association - Currently the VFW has 6 fields. Mike
Roden feels the Association needs at least two more in
Otsego. There are 27 fields total in the area, with about
2,000 members in the Association. They would love to have
an indoor field.
City Update - Councilmember Scharber updated Commissioners
on Council actions.
Haunted House - Commissioners set Monday, June 2, 2003 at
6:30 p.m. to inventory the Haunted House.
Adjournment - Commissioner Cassady, seconded by Commissioner
Nelson, moved to adjourn at 8:20 p.m. Carried 6-0.
