MEETING MINUTES
OCTOBER 1, 2003 - 7:00 PM
1. Call to order. The meeting was called to order at 7:00
p.m.
Roll Call:
Park & Recreation Commission: Acting Chair Pauline Nelson,
Peter Torresani, Rose Cassady, Terry Long, Jessica Stockamp
and Mark Thorsted.
Councilmembers: CM Scharber and CM Struthers.
Staff: City Administrator Mike Robertson
Jeff Bartheld's Resignation - Acting Chair Nelson noted the
meeting had been called primarily to discuss the Haunted
House in light of Jeff Bartheld's resignation.
A'Dpointment of New Chair and Vice -Chair - Commissioner Long,
seconded by Commissioner Torresani, moved to nominate
Commissioner Nelson as Chair and Commissioner Stockamp as
Vice -Chair. Carried 6-0.
Haunted House - After discussion, Commissioner Stockamp,
seconded by Commissioner Cassady, moved to cancel the
Haunted House for 2003. Carried 6-0.
Chair Nelson said that she would call Jackie Rognli to stop
all advertising for the Haunted House. Commissioners set a
date for October 8, 2003 to inventory the Haunted house
materials and start cleaning up the area. After discussion,
Commissioner Long volunteered to be Chair of the Haunted
House committee for 2004. Commissioner Stockamp will call
the Albertville Lioness to see if they would want to be
involved next year.
Approval of September 10, 2003 Minutes - Commissioner
Torresani, seconded by Commissioner Cassady, moved to
approve the September 10, 2003 minutes. Carried 6-0.
City Update - CM Scharber updated Commissioners on Council
actions.
New Members - Administrator Robertson said he would
advertise for new members. There is an opening for one
member and one alternate.
Adjournment - Commissioner Torresani, seconded by
Commissioner Long, moved to adjourn at 8:10 p.m. Carried 6-
0.
